Celebrity Photos Taken By Ira Blacker At Concerts

These photos were taken by me, Ira Blacker, at rock and roll concerts where I often encountered celebrities, well-known figures, and bands I did not represent. Jim Brown did not crack a smile the entire time he was at the Ontario Jam in 1974, while Linda Lovelace, known for Deep Throat, stood out in a very different way. It was always interesting to meet people such as William Randolph Hearst Jr., the newspaper magnate, at concerts and music industry events.

Photos From The Life Of Ira Blacker

These are some of my memories from early life, including my mother, my parents’ candy store on Glenwood Road in Brooklyn, and my mentor and favorite relative, my uncle, Dr. Herbert Derman.

My father kept extra magazines in the bathroom, stored on shelves above the toilet with just enough space in front to sit. Among them were magazines like Playboy and similar publications, which, as a 14-year-old, held my attention longer than they probably should have.

I later joked, after my third divorce, that I was like the 1950s television show about Herbert Philbrick, I Led Three Lives. My version was “I led three wives.” The first two are pictured here; the third is not.
